The Greening Cream and Crimson sustainability initiative is looking to
build a team of 75 volunteers. The Cream & Crimson Green Team will be
the first in a long line of dedicated volunteer teams working to
expand the green practices within Indiana University Athletics.
Volunteers will be participating in a pilot on April 17th (6pm) at
Memorial Stadium during the 2010 spring football game. If done
properly the pilot will be a springboard for future green
events hosted by IU Athletics.
The green spring game is our way of gathering momentum for the
adoption of sensible, smart, cost-saving measures. Athletics is
receptive to these ideas, so a pilot has been designed. Naturally, a
group of committed volunteers who will assist the athletics department
is required. Let's show the university that this initiative is worth
Volunteers are needed to assist with recycling efforts inside and
outside of Memorial Stadium. We'll need volunteers for the bike valet
area (on April 17), and a handful of volunteers to promote the event
prior to April 17th.
Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt - we'll handout shirts at the
April 17th event.
Orientation for the April 17th event will be held on Friday, March 26th
at 4:30pm in Memorial Stadium's north end zone. The meeting will be held
in the football team room - alone worth the visit. Refreshments will be provided.
We'd love to have you as a key part of our first Cream & Crimson Green
